Our team is so excited to announce a community-based project that we have been working on behind the scenes called, Feeding the Frontlines.

We are piggy backing on similar projects that we’ve seen implemented around the globe since this pandemic began. Feeding the Frontlines (FTF) is a way to support the Astoria community two-fold. The goal of FTF is to spread joy to Astoria’s healthcare workers at Columbia Memorial Hospital while also supporting 5 local restaurants during this difficult time.

The staff members at Columbia Memorial Hospital are working hard every day under stressful conditions to keep our community safe. This initiative is meant to put smiles on their faces while providing meals to them for 5 days straight, during the week of April 20-24.

We know this is a difficult time for Astoria restaurants due to the ban on dine-in meals in the state. FTF is aiming to support these restaurants by paying in full for meals that they will deliver to CMH for their healthcare workers. The restaurants are not being asked to donate anything – we want to make sure they are fully supported so they can continue to do business far into the future after the pandemic is over.

A big part of this program relies on you. Will you help us to help our community?

It’s simple! If you would like to provide a meal, simply call the restaurant(s) you would like to support by 5pm the day before their delivery day (see schedule below) to order. You will tell them how many meals you want to send & give them credit card information. That’s it! The restaurant will take care of the delivery.

Our team is committing to sending 10 meals per day, and we are asking that the community step up and commit to an additional 25 meals – for a total of 35 meals each day.
